About Judy

Judy was already showing a strong affinity and love for music, animals, and art by the time she was in the first grade. Some of the ways she expressed herself in her earliest years was by creating miniature scenes in boxes, clothes for dolls, and painting. She would even paint rocks. While in high school in upstate New York, she was creating the sets for the theater club, as well as costume designs. While still in school, her entrepreneurial spirit was also beginning to take shape as she earned some money customizing wheel covers and painting windows and murals for local businesses.

At 23, Judy got married and started a family which put some of her artistic energy temporarily on hold. When she was 27, she found her way to Los Angeles and eventually started working for a company that created backdrops for photography and movie sets. It was there that she was asked to do the backdrop for a photo of the rock band, U2. She later saw that the photo was used for the cover of Time Magazine and Rolling Stone. This marked a pivotal change in her life that made her more determined to maintain her art as a constant part of her life.

Since then, she has lived in several more states and has fed her passion by creating fine art on canvas, art in textiles as well as custom faux finishes.

In her own words “Art is my passion, my purpose and joy. Every work of art is a process of thought, reflection, design and creation.”

Having returned to Utah, Judy is now offering custom art to anyone wanting a design that is uniquely theirs. Consultations are available upon request.
